About

Security and privacy are important parts of our daily lives.   We take many aspects of security for granted, and the growing trend for privacy often leans towards “I have nothing to hide, so I have nothing to fear.”

My hope is to raise awareness, make people think, consider, and hopefully re-evaluate how they think about security.  There are a large number of computer security blogs out there.  This blog may have some computer focus, but I’m aiming for a much broader reach.  I aim for this blog to be “security for everyday people doing everyday things.”    I’ll very likely talk about locks and physical access as much as I may talk about firewalls, buffer overflows, and anonymous remailers.   Most importantly, I’ll try to capture and relay the bits of security that I become aware of in my everyday life that stand out as unique and interesting.   I believe my eyes to be open.   I hope to open yours as well.
